Why You Should Join Us!
New Jersey is full of activists, community members, policy advocates, nonprofit leaders, and public servants who have been working hard to meet the needs of a rapidly and constantly changing political landscape. While this work cannot stop or slow down, we must also invest in ourselves and work hard to maintain our community power. With all that we’re doing, we often become disconnected from each other and we must band together in order to fight the challenges to the equitable and just future we all know is possible.
Our Movement Building Call to Collaboration will see creative and collaborative conversations taking place, partnerships being built, and ideas turning into action – providing an opportunity to build a true movement. In the spirit of community building, we invite you to extend the invitation to a colleague, a board member, a friend, a funder, a young person (18+) to truly expand the conversation and ensure that ALL voices and perspectives are heard and represented.
Registration is FREE and REQUIRED. Spanish interpretation and open-captioning* will be available on both days.
*Open-captioning will be available for the opening and closing full-group sessions of both days, but not in breakout discussions.
Together we will tackle the Central Question:
How do we work together across New Jersey in ways that build real accountability and care, support movement workers so they’re not burned out or isolated, and use popular education to grow shared understanding and power?

What Makes A Call to Collaboration Special?
- It brings together people involved in the different neighborhoods, initiatives and organizations that coexist in New Jersey;
- The topics for the conversations and breakout sessions are suggested by and led by the people who attend—this means that you, your colleagues and neighbors are the ones leading discussions, moving ideas forward, and developing action plans;
- The format of the meeting follows Open Space Technology—a dynamic and democratic way of meeting that is used worldwide as a tool to tackle complex problems that require diverse viewpoints to solve them.
