It’s an opportunity for people to foster deeper connections, share knowledge and resources, and leverage these virtual gatherings as a springboard for statewide collaboration in advancing equity in our organizations.

What issue are you trying to solve and where do you need a partner, or an alliance or access to certain kinds of resources (knowledge, capital, etc.)? Where are you stuck?
Communities in Conversation Returns this Fall!
Each session is focused on a specific topic areas inspired by you! Check back on this page or sign up for our mailing list to be the first to hear topics as they are announced!
Examples of past topics:
- Workplace Equity: What organizational equity issue are you trying to solve and where do you need a partner, or an alliance or access to certain kinds of resources (knowledge, capital, etc.)? Where are you stuck?
- BIPOC Mental Health (in partnership with the Mental Health Association of NJ): What is needed to ensure BIPOC individuals/families in need of support services or living with mental health challenges receive culturally competent mental health services from our own organizations and service providers? How can we disrupt the foundations of racism to create a different system of engagement, treatment and support that begins with and supports front-line workers and volunteers?
- Birth Equity: How can healthcare providers and institutions acknowledge the brokenness of our healthcare system and resulting mistrust? What needs to change to nurture relationships between providers and BIPOC birthing persons to support equitable and unbiased care? How can community-based programs help?
